Yehiel Leiter is the father of the late Major Moshe Leiter, who fell at the beginning of the war in Gaza. Leiter advised the new president of Liberia, Joseph Buakai, on how to improve the situation in his country.
Upon learning of the fall of his son Moshe, the president called Leiter Sr. on the days of Shabbat, participated in the mourning and invited him to participate in his inauguration ceremony. "Liberia is a country that supports Israel. If you walk around the streets here you will see Israeli flags," says Leiter.
