Abi, public support for the less well-off is needed for green homes. "The directive on the energy performance of buildings as approved by the European Parliament mitigates some risks that we had highlighted," says Giovanni Sabatini.
"Banks are increasingly developing the "green mortgage" market - i.e. financing aimed at the purchase of homes with high energy performance or the energy requalification of properties," he adds. "However, the objectives are challenging and therefore it is necessary to prepare in time, including with adequate public policies," he says.
