“Choose France”, “French Tech” and “Next 40’s” use of English words contravene French linguistic law. “How can we want to be a major exporting country,” protests the Association Francophonie Avenir (Afrav), “ if we are not even capable of selling our own language, a major international language?” The fact remains that the State will continue to use its slogan ‘Choose France,’ the name ‘French Tech, or the label ‘Next 40.’
