Bamberg-Land Green District Association canceled its annual general meeting on Wednesday evening (February 21) for security reasons. Around 300 demonstrating farmers disrupted party members and interrupted the meeting.
Green Party politician under police protection “insulted and shouted at” by farmers. Even the Upper Franconian district association of the Bavarian Farmers' Association (BBV) condemned the action. “Many party colleagues did not feel safe and were extremely afraid,” said district chairman Tim-Luca Rosenheimer.
