“Fighter for the cause”: Mourning for Elfriede “Elli” Wilfling. The long-time chairwoman of the youth and social work sponsoring association has died at the age of 76.
The funeral will take place on Thursday in the forest cemetery in Geretsried. In 2017 she received the Isar Loisach Medal for her outstanding voluntary work in 2017. She was a recipient of the Citizens' Prize in 2009, and in 2014 she received an award for her life's work at the German citizens' Prize.
