Mayor of Vienna, Thierry Kovacs (LR), sharply attacks the morning lowering of the speed to 50 km/h on the 8 kilometers of the A7 motorway. Kovacs asks the prefect of Rhône to cancel the experiment of lowering the speed.
Since March 20, state services have launched the experiment with a carpooling lane, effective only between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a. m. on weekdays on this section of the road. The reduction in accidents is one of the measurement criteria of this experiment, in addition to environmental ones.
