Seven departments in the south-east of the country are placed on yellow rain-flood alert this Friday. A Mediterranean episode is planned this Friday and Saturday from the Cévennes to the Alpes-Maritimes.
This meteorological phenomenon is caused by “upwellings of hot, humid and unstable air coming from the Mediterranean” Gusts up to 80 km/h are expected in the Mediterranean region on Friday and on Saturday. “A new episode of strong waves at the coast is looming on the Atlantic coast,” says Météo France.
