[HIGHLIGHTS] “It’s like pony rides”: in Paris, leisure fishing soon threatened?

Environmentalists wanted to put an end to the renewal of the conventions which link the City to the fishermen's federations. The agreements between the City of Paris and the fishing associations - lasting six years - come to an end in July.

“Last year, we managed to stop pony rides,” recalls Corine Faugeron (EELV) “In recreational fishing, fish are not better regarded. We catch them, we throw them back into the water, like in a duck fishing attraction with no certainty that they will not die from their injuries”
