The Gaißach fire department was deployed to 18 missions last year: accidents, fires and other damage. The organization has reached a level of over 100 active members, more women have joined, and there are currently six new people under 18 in training.
Commander Michael Schmid and his deputy have been in office for nine years. Johann Jaud (40 years) as well as Jakob Gilgenreiner and Nikolaus Simon Jr. (25 years) were honored for their long-standing membership.
