Two years after Lyon's entry into the Ville 30 system, the environmental executive welcomed the drop in accidents. Between 2019 and 2023, injury accidents decreased by 35% in Lyon, according to the national interministerial road safety observatory.

“Lowering the speed has made it possible to reduce the number of accidents and their severity,” insists Bruno Bernard (EELV), president of the Lyon metropolitan area. Several municipalities in the community have joined this system proposed by Greater Lyon, despite different political colors.
