Upper Bavaria can record the most of these with a good 43 million. Over 18 million people spent the night in Munich alone. Eastern Bavaria and the Allgäu are at the bottom, each with around 17 million accommodations. The Bavarian regions recorded an average increase of 8.7% in the number of overnight stays.
