The Rhône prefecture announced this Wednesday the evacuation of the squat installed since the end of 2022 in the premises of a former hardware store, rue Baraban in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon. On site, “facts of trafficking and mafia influence were reported,” state services indicate in a press release.
The operation took place “peacefully” following “preparatory work of orientation according to the situations and individual vulnerabilities” of the thirty evacuees. Three households, 7 adults and 9 children were sheltered.
