[HIGHLIGHTS] “We receive a lot of families”: at the Château de Fontainebleau, a record number of visitors in 2023

1.78 million people visited the grounds of the Château de Fontainebleau in 2023. This is 15% more than in 2022 and 5% less than in 2019.

The historic gardens, free and with open access, welcomed 1.2 million tourists. The castle alone, to which access is paid, welcomed 560,000 visits in one year, or 28% more in 2011. It is also the “Grandeur Nature” exhibition which attracted the most visitors (61,000)
