[HIGHLIGHTS] “We were faced with an urban guerrilla”: the head of the PSIG of Meaux recounts the riots

Lieutenant Yann Briez, commander of the Gendarmerie Surveillance and Intervention Platoon (PSIG) of Meaux (Seine- et-Marne), received the bronze medal on Friday for acts of courage and dedication. Aged 30, he distinguished himself with his 23 men during the urban riots last June in Meaux alongside the police.

“This is the first time that we have intervened with them in a significant way and two nights in a row in the face of such violence. It was a work carried out hand in hand, a great cooperation,” salutes YannBriez.
