The volunteer card was introduced in the Weilheim-Schongau district in 2014 and has since then been traditionally presented to deserving citizens in a ceremonial setting. Every gold or blue card guarantees benefits, discounts and other advantages at around 6,000 acceptance partners throughout Bavaria.
