The Starnberg District Community Foundation has been supporting social projects, among other things, for many years. A donation of 1,500 euros went to the non-profit association Ecumenical Aid eV, the provider of the Katharina Funk mother-child home in Gilching.
In this house, six single mothers who come from an emergency situation are currently finding a safe roof over their heads for a transitional period of two years under which they can reorganize their living conditions. With the donation, the house can also finance therapeutic support for the women in building a trusting and stronger mother- child relationship.
