20-year term requested for alleged Cutro trafficker. Crotone prosecutors on Wednesday requested that Gun Ufuk, a 29-year-old Turk who was allegedly one of the human traffickers on the Summer Love migrant boat that sank off the Calabrian town of Cutro last February.
The prosecutors also requested that he be sentenced to pay 2.1 million euros in damages. He is charged with aiding illegal immigration, guilty shipwreck and causing death as a consequence of another crime.
