An earthquake swarm with many aftershocks has been underway for weeks. Today there were over twenty tremors exceeding two in magnitude, of which the one at 2.46pm was the strongest. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Calestano, in the north of the country, near the city of Parma. The earthquake of magnitude 3.8 was felt in Parma, in northern Italy.
