50 years ago, the Ermenonville crash: “We thought we were helping people but there was no one to save”. Then aged 18, Philippe Laprun, a young resident, found himself on March 3, 1974, enrolled by chance among the rescue teams.
In the black and white photo, one of the most famous photos taken after the crash, he appears in profile, holding a stretcher. Aged 18 at the time, he now remembers the disaster perfectly and how he found himself at the scene.
