500 people have to leave their homes because of two aerial bombs. One bomb weighing 500 kilograms had already been neutralized that night.

It is still unclear how long it will take to defuse the second bomb - a specimen weighing 250 kilograms. The soil, which is softened by moisture, requires the use of special equipment. The bombs were found on Wednesday afternoon during reconnaissance work on the site of the former marshalling yard in Amberg. The defusing work is expected to last until Thursday.
