Evelyn K. Geer had walked away from the home in diapers and Charlotte County authorities searched for her with rescue dogs before finding her body Friday.
The site where they located the body is located behind the house the family had rented on the VRBO platform, the sheriff said. The sheriff's office used an apartment dog to search for the girl, who walked away in diapers from her home in a neighborhood bordered by Barksdale, Cochran and Collingswood streets, 30 miles north of Fort Myers.
