The Rhône prefecture announced the closure of the hookah bar (also tea room) Amigo 69 on January 12. A decision taken following a shooting which took place inside the establishment on July 22, 2023 at 5:55 a.m.
Brawl during which two shots were fired from an automatic pistol, leaving one victim injured in the left leg. Hit in the leg, the victim had a high level of alcohol in his blood even though the establishment was not authorized to sell it. “Thus alcoholic beverages were consumed on site within the establishment in the absence of a license to do so,” writes the prefecture.
