A maxi tablecloth unrolled in Piazza Unità d'Italia at lunchtime to eat together and to "share your food with those who don't have": this is the flash mob created by school students in Trieste in view of the 50th Social Week of Catholics in Italy. The tablecloth, 1.80 meters wide and 90 meters long, was sewn by approximately 2 thousand school students of various levels, who assembled pieces of used fabric, significant for their personal history.

The initiative was promoted by the Science and Faith laboratory of the Diocese of Trieste and recalls the theme of the Social Week: 'At the heart of democracy. Participating between history and future' The objective was in fact to raise young people's awareness of brotherhood, sharing and participation, says the bishop ofTrieste, Monsignor Enrico Trevisi, in the square to greet the young people. "We can be that hand of God that wants to reach everyone, sharing with everyone", he adds.
