A resident of Beit Shemesh was arrested on suspicion of offering money to voters in exchange for their vote for a candidate. In another case, the suspect offered one hundred shekels for each identity card he received, with which he intended to vote while forging and disrupting the city's elections.

The investigation was opened yesterday in the fraud unit of the police in the Jerusalem district, following a report about the suspect, a young man in his 20s. Today he will be brought to a hearing on the extension of his detention.
