Four families filed complaints against a teacher Bertrine from Belin-Beliet, in Gironde. The children's families accused the teacher of having slapped them, humiliated them and pulled their ears to the point of tearing their lobes.
An investigation was opened by the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office. The management of departmental national education services declares that it is monitoring “the situation at the school” where “necessary and appropriate measures” must be taken. The academic inspectorate indicates that it “takes seriously” these accusations of abuse.
