The only fatal accident in 2023 in the district occurred on August 23rd near Unterbuchen. The 82-year-old driver of a Mercedes died in hospital two weeks later. The number of accidents resulting in personal injury has also fallen. In the entire district, the number of traffic fatalities rose from four to a total of eight.
