Damien Cassé, an opposition municipal councilor in Seine-et-Marne, was taken into police custody on Tuesday afternoon. His partner Ersilia Soudais, an LFI deputy, filed a complaint on Saturday March 2 against her companion.
Cassé was released on Wednesday and will be excluded from the party as a precautionary measure. His lawyer Yassine Bouzrou: “We welcome this rapid release which demonstrates great respect for the fundamental principle of the presumption of innocence”
