La France Insoumise (LFI) MP Ersilia Soudais filed a complaint of rape on Monday March 4 against her companion Damien Cassé. The latter was placed in police custody this Tuesday, according to the Meaux public prosecutor's office, which is handling the case.
On social networks, Cassé presents himself as an LFI activist and opposition municipal councilor in Noisiel, in Seine-et-Marne. He is also an elected official in the 7th arrondissement.
