Bloodroot is also available commercially in the Bavarian Forest, where Florian comes from, and probably has around 50 percent alcohol, which is why you get drunk very quickly. Stefanie's 21-herb liqueur, which also contains bloodroot, also contains schnapps and turns blood red.
