Alsatian winegrowers are switching to orange wine: a fad or a real craze?. This macerated wine, whose sales are increasing among young consumers, obtained the AOP within the Alsace vineyard.
“It was time for orange wines to join our protected designation of origin (AOP), but this was the result of tough negotiations,” says Gilles Erhart, president of the Association of AlsACE Winegrowers. This decision was taken by the union during a general meeting on January 18, 2024.
