Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced several measures aimed at promoting the transmission of farmers' activities to following generations. The executive wishes in particular to raise the exemption thresholds on agricultural inheritances.

The main change on inheritance concerns capital gains on transfers of individual businesses. In addition to these increases in transmission thresholds, the government intends to launch a mission on agricultural transmissions to facilitate the renewal of generations in agriculture, said Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy and Finance. The mission will take a few months and could be transposed into the finance bill for 2025.
