Ten years ago, almost to the day, Anne Hidalgo won the municipal elections in Paris. Since then, the Socialist Party has lost its splendor.

The mayor of Paris achieved the lowest score in the history of the Socialist party in the presidential election: 1.7%. In her own Parisian stronghold, the elected official only received 2.17% of the votes, or 22,828 votes. After the gradual conquest of districts initiated in 1995 by Bertrand Delanoë leading to the arrival of the left at City Hall in 2001.
