The Supreme Court of Justice of the Province of Buenos Aires ordered the Obra Medical Assistance Institute (IOMA) to continue with collective coverage for Municipal employees. In March of last year, the then mayor of San Nicolás sent a draft ordinance to the Deliberative Council to disjoin the municipality of IOMA.

"Workers deserve to be able to see their doctor of choice and anywhere in the city; and the doctors get paid in a timely manner for these benefits," Manuel Passaglia said at the time.
