Apfeldorf's former mayor Hermann Floritz has died at the age of 85. Floritz was mayor of Apfeldorf from 1996 to 2008.
Many important projects were realized during his term of office. He always led the local council meetings diplomatically and prudently. In retirement, Floritz created a unique miniature museum at home with lots of self-made agricultural objects, which he constantly expanded. He worked there until the end and leaves behind his wife Helga, two daughters and three grandchildren.
