Local schools briefly closed, but were allowed to reopen early Monday afternoon. This year, more than 220 shootings that left more than four dead or injured have already been recorded by the Gun Violence Archive website in the U.S., according to the website. The site says there have been more than 4,000 shootings in the United States this year.
