Pearl Berg, the oldest Jewish woman in the world, passed away at the age of 114 in Los Angeles. Berg was considered the third oldest American, after two women who were 116 - and the ninth in the entire world.

She was the daughter of immigrants from Russia and Poland, gave birth to two children from her marriage, and was a member of the congregation of a synagogue in Hollywood.
