Avalanche operations are staged: large mountain rescue exercise at Schönalmjoch. A total of 60 emergency services are expected.
Two helicopters from the Bavarian State Police and the Tyrol Aviation Police will be in use to achieve the exercise scenario. An avalanche with several buried people is practiced. “An exercise in the area of the national border in particular is very interesting and important for the rescuers, as communication using digital radio is a challenge” says the Lenggries mountain rescue service.
