An 85-year-old pensioner from Gauting entered his data, including his mobile phone number, on a fraud website. He was then contacted on his cell phone and asked to deposit a sum of 250 euros into an account as an initial investment.
The perpetrators then call again and again and pressure the injured parties to make further payments, which are significantly higher. Fortunately, the pensioner was warned by a bank employee at his house bank when he tried to transfer the required 19,000 euros.
