Sophia Antipolis is a valley of cutting-edge technology in the south of Spain. It is located just 22 km from the city of Nice.

The valley was once home to the Italian city of Bologna. It has a population of just over 10,000, but is home to thousands of artists and craftsmen. It was built in 1470 by Italian families who came from Liguria to repopulate the city. The city is now a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site, and has been home to many artists.
