Boom of second-hand stores in Île-de-France: “We are only at the beginning”. The number of thrift stores and flea markets has increased sharply throughout the region over the past two years.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is studying the phenomenon very closely this year. The most recent figures are indeed significant: in the region, the number ofSecond hand stores increased from 312 in 2021 to 437 in 2023, an increase of 40%. Second-hand and consignment type stores are also on the rise.
