Around ten students have blocked part of the University of Bordeaux-Montaigne, on the university campus of Pessac (Gironde), since April 9. An action claimed as a reaction to the management of cases of gender-based and sexual violence by the establishment.

Many buildings, lecture halls and the Rigoberta Menchú university library are also closing their doors “until further notice” The meeting of the board of directors scheduled for April 11 is postponed. The situation occurs less than a month before the end of the semester for certain courses (May 3 and May 24), it led the university to have to take specific measures to ensure the continuity of teaching.
