Berlin lawyer Andreas Lubberger has submitted an application to the European Trademark Office (EUIPO) for the revocation of three AfD trademarks. Lubberger accuses the AfD of not seeking serious use of the disputed brands.

It is unclear what motivated him to make his application. The party explains that it is “completely common” to preventively secure the trademark rights to products that are not yet sold. The AfD is defending itself: The online shop sells masses of products with the Afd logo. This has also been proven to the EUIPO.
