Carnival tragedy shakes small town: mother of four children falls into river and dies. 43-year-old fell into the Röthen River in Sonneberg (Thuringia) on the way home from a carnival party.
Police suspect the woman may have been drunk at the time of the accident. An autopsy has been ordered, police said, to check the investigation and also whether the woman was drunk. A drone was also used to search for missing people. The federal highway B89 was temporarily closed between Sonnenberg and Meilschnitz.
