Storms in Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg have caused flooded roads and numerous operations. The fire brigade was deployed on Sunday and Monday night with hundreds of forces.

The German Red Cross looked after around 30 people in the community centre in Daaden, who had to be evacuated from their homes. In Esslingen, lightning struck a house. The property damage is estimated at 100,000 euros. In Römerberg, according to police, some cellars were full.
