Around 80 officers searched 12 residential properties in the Starnberg and Dachau districts. The suspects, aged 15 to 77, are suspected of possessing or distributing child pornography.
Two of the men encountered were processed for identification and subsequently released without further police action. A total of around 80 data carriers - including mobile phones, tablets and hard drives - were seized as evidence. The police and judiciary will continue to work with all available means to stop criminals. As of 2021, mere possession of child pornography is a criminal offense.
