CMA CGM is preparing for a sluggish year which justifies its diversification in logistics. The French container transport giant saw its operating profit plummet, from $33.3 billion in 2022 to $9 billion last year.
Its net profit also plunged, going from 25 billion dollars to 3.64 billion in 2023. The volumes transported by the group were stable compared to the previous year (up 0.5%) but with large disparities between the first and second half of the year, as well as between the main transport routes.
