A coach has gone off the road and fallen several meters into the depths. The driver was killed, passengers were not on board.
The site of the accident is located near Amalfi, in the coastal strip popular with tourists near the city of Salerno in Campania. Next Thursday (11 May) a stage of the Giro d'Italia cycling tour is scheduled to pass the crash site. It is currently pouring rain in Italy. An important road bridge in Calabria collapsed.
