Colombia has been facing an unprecedented drought for a month due to the El Niño phenomenon. The water level in the La Regadera reservoir, which supplies water to the south of Bogotá, is at 35% of its capacity.

Farmers warn that crops have suffered the ravages of drought, while livestock have been sold due to a lack of fresh grass to feed them. In the north of Colombia, in Barranco Lebrija, the drought has put the fishing community in crisis.
