Construction work is expected to last until the 1930s: Fraunhoferstrasse subway station is being modernized. Yellow should remain the central identifying feature of the platform, but red and blue tones will also beautify the subway station.
The current fire protection concept also provides for a mechanical smoke extraction system. For this purpose, the access structure is to be expanded to a height of around 11 meters and the smoke exhaust system and the associated technical rooms must be accommodated. It should then be finished in the early 1930s.
