The project, which costs almost six million euros, is expected to be completed by May. The route is extremely short, the least amount of structural intervention is required in the existing building.
The mountain station is designed as a portal, with a sliding glass door allowing a view downwards. Five trees that are protected according to the city green ordinance were in the way of the rail. The archdiocese bears the total costs of 5.8 million euros. The annual maintenance - which is around 110,000 euros - is the responsibility of the city.
